Throat getting worse

I was in agony over night. I couldn’t swallow at all. I had to have a throat sweet so I could swallow tablets. I had co-codamol. Which knocked me right out until 5.50am. I heard Jordan letting herself in to get the remote control for the electric gate and the barrel that has the chicken’s water in it. Now, Skye did hear because she jumped up on the bed. Not a bloody peep out of her though and she can bark for Wales. Watchdog and burgular detection is coming off her CV!

We snoozed a bit longer and then got up. She went out the garden and I had a shower. There was another walk booked for this morning, I made a cup of tea with lots of honey but I only managed to drink half of it. I managed my bagel with cream cheese, I suppose because the cream cheese was smooth and cold. Anyway I made Elsie’s bottle and left for Garth Hall. During the drive I remembered I hadn’t published the blog. I hoped there would be time after feeding the rams and before the visitors arrived. They also needed a bucket full of fresh water which I also did. Then back to the car with the sign to wait. I just had time to finish the proofreading to publish it.

There were three walking today, a couple and their grown up son. It was a surprise for his birthday. Obviously, Elsie got fed first and then on to the alpacas. We walked and then fed the girls. There was a shower then so we went in the blue shelter during the rain. I had talked too much for my throat again. Home to make dinner and rest. I wasn’t able to eat properly. Gutting. After the attempt at dinner, Skye and I went to bed for a bit. I just couldn’t get warm.

Not much else, farming wise. I need to rest. Tomorrow it’s Arthur John’s for supplies and Riverlea for the trailer part and bearings for the trailer wheel. Jordan is off though so she might get to try driving the truck…
