I had another good sleep so I woke up just after 6. I gave myself a few minutes to come round properly. Breakfast was difficult again but only 4 more left. I left earlier further farm and was pleased with myself. I let the ducks out before Rascal arrived. I’d surprised him by being early 😂 He rallied and immediately told me he was starving 🙄 Lastly I let the Peckys out but there weren’t any eggs.
As I drove over rather field, I stopped to look at the view in the sunshine. I took a photo and posted it yesterday. I decided I could probably pick some poo and take some videos/photos. My first thought was Jubilee after the scare yesterday. She was the first over to see me so she was fine 👏 I put more hay out because they had eaten a lot. I fed them and then picked a bucket of poo. I then fed the boys and checked Casper’s foot. There were no signs of infection. It was clean and he walked without a limp. All good. I went over to the girls next.
The sky was beautiful and sunny with the girls peeling through the hedge. I took another photo. Then I took their bucket of food, th epoo ucket, scoop and scraper. Liv was there to meet me and wouldn’t leave me alone so I videoed her too. She went all camera shy then 😂 I fed them and little Raven came to investigate me. I took some pictures of her. She is sooooo fluffy 🥰 I picked another bucket of poo and then loaded the poo bag into the jeep. As I was leaving I saw Cloud and Greyce by the hay. Greyce is eating hay which is something but she does need to eat the alpaca mix as it’s fortified with vitamins and minerals. I laughed at her eating hay though. She had huge piece, dangling form her mouth. It looked like she had a beard 😉 I put the poo bag in the barn and then left for Jenkins’s. I’ll take the ewe nuts to Garth Hall tomorrow.
Once I was home I had a few phone calls to make and I had to take a few photos of documents for Neil. Then I tackled making dinner in the kitchen filled with furniture where the majority of cupboards are blocked off. Somehow I was running late. I shortened Skye’s walk and left to babysit Riley. After he had his dinner, he had some tinned peaches. He kept signing “more”. I wouldn’t let him have more than half a tin though! We played for a bit and then went out the back to play. The rugby field is behind their house. Riley loves slopes so he went up amd down the slope for ages. Henalso asked for blackberries because I had picked him some last time we went out there. He ended up as purple as you’d expect a toddler to be 🙄 I cleaned him off as best as I could but when Jordan got home, she thought I hadn’t cleaned him at all. That’s how purple he was 😂
They left to go swimming and I went to the Post Office to put a cheque in the bank. I had a message from Tregurnog neighbours saying there was a ram of mine. I forwarded the photos to Neil and he rang to sort that out. He’s (ram) arrived just in time to be able to go to market next week with Starsky and Hutch. Once I got home, I made a cup of tea and somehow ended up booking myself a flu jab. I had a text from the pharmacy and after some research, I booked the cheapest local one. Typical farmer 😁 I had a phonecall to say my floor will be started a bit later tomorrow than we had planned because the previous job overran a bit. It doesn’t make a difference to my plans. The furniture can’t go back until sometime on Saturday anyway.
When I walked Skye at sunset, there was a lovely pinky-orange sky. So there’s another beautiful autumn day due tomorrow.
Helen x
