Louis told me he would leave their house at 7am so at 6.50, I went out to walk Skye so I’d be back in time. Then he flashed the car lights at me. He was early! I rushed Skye along and then we all went in. Riley was no trouble – the isofix was a nightmare. It took ages. Riley had a bottle, I had my breakfast and we were off.
I undid the padlock and trussed myself up with Riley’s sling. I got him in it and we went to feed Rascal. When we got back to the car we went to look for my glasses case. No sign 😔 Rhianydd arrived then. She sorted the Peckys out and got the eggs then we went down to the alpacas.
Rhianydd sorted out all the food and fed the alpcas while I carried Riley. Alexa looked the same as usual. No sihpgn of her unpacked at that point. We walked back up. It was a bit harder going up the slope with Riley. I sorted out some snacks, a drink and a coat for Rhi. She stayed for a bit to keep an eye on Alexa while I took Riley home. We stopped off at Screwfix for self tapping screws 🤷♀️ that Neil needs for the polytunnel.
Back at home, Riley alternated between sleeping or being fed. Witha nappy changing thrown in. Rhi messaged to say no sign of unpacking. After dinner I put the sling back on to walk Skye and then I went to Jordan and Louis’s so Riley could nap in his moses basket. Neil messaged to say no cria so I could stand down for the day. He will do the afternoon shift Tom for me too.
I’ve had an enquiry about an alpaca adoption and to book in a voucher walk. I was looking forward to an early night. Neil messaged to sat he couldn’t do the afternoon shift so I will have to do that, when Louis gets home. Its looking likely that Alexa will unpack then! I don’t mind missing it, if all is well with her and her cria.
Sorry this one is short. Not much farm work today and not much spare time either 😁
