I slept from 10.30 until just after 6am. No getting up to wee. Just sleeping. I was bursting at 6 but I nipped back into bed for another half an hour and woke at 7.50! I had to shift then. Two walks today! I got dressed and took Skye for a walk. Lots of layers required today. I had my breakfast and then rushed to Garth Hall. I needed to put some sand on the wooden bridge before the walk. I thought I had long enough but I checked the time when I picked the sand up. 9.49. Bugger. I went as fast as I could. Then the alarm on my phone went of at the same time as it rang! I had two pairs of gloves on so I tried to turn the alarm off with my nose. It took a few attempts. Then I had to answer the call with my nose. It was my visitors. They were a bit lost. I gave then directions and told them I wouldn’t be long.
We had a lovely walk. Garth Vader was popular but not as popular as Noonoo. He was the star. It drizzled on us but that didn’t dampen anyone’s enjoyment. While we were hand-feeding some of the girls, I got caught in the cross-fire of spit due to an argument over food. I had bits of alpaca mix all over me. My hair was up in a high pony tail in top of my head. I flicked through it to make sure all the bits were out and I heard a little thud to my left. Ilooked down there was a pound coin on the floor! What? I ran my hands through my hair. I’m not sure why. Maybe I was expecting another coin to fall out 🤷♀️😂
“Did you see that? It came out of my hair!” They had seen it. I was dumbfounded. Now I know I hadn’t been well yesterday (Covid vaccine after effects)I know I didn’t bother getting dressed all day but that shouldn’t mean my hair was so dirty that it grew money! Then I had a brainwave. I looked at my left arm. I have a pocket in my coat, near my left wrist. The zip was undone. THAT’S where the pound coin came from. It was a good few seconds when I thought I had magic hair that was producing money for me. I wasn’t even disappointed. It was funny.
After the walk I went home and helped Jordan with the dinner. The air fryer has helped us a lot! While dinner was cooking, Jordan worked on the laptop, sorting some things out for the business. We had our dinner and then had to rush off. As I was leaving I had a message to say the visitors would be 10 minutes late. I went back and and put a load of washing on and then left. The afternoon visitors included two little girls who got to walk Atlas and Tex with their parents. They even had great fun on the rope swing. The youngest was an energetic 5 year old. Although she was tired on the walk back, she certainly got a second wind on the swing. I think she’ll sleep tonight although she was singing at the top of her voice in the car when they left!
My step count was nearing 20,000. I had been up and down the slope more times than I could count and I was shattered. What a busy but rewarding day.
