Afternoon visit

I had a bit of a lie in because today was going to be different to usual. The 7am alarm went off and I still struggled to get up, I had a shower and then got dressed. I went for a walk with Skye and got caught in the rain. I was wetter than after my shower! Skye wasn’t too impressed either. After food I went to Garth Hall. I walked around looking for brown bums. Today there were 9. That was up from 6 two days ago. Good work boys.

I fed in the wellfield and then fed the alpacas in the pod field. I checked everyone else and I was done. There had been a few nasty showers. Charming. Fingers crossed there would be less showers later. I went to visit Ally. It kept raining on us. We made a terrible mess of footprints and pawprints on Jordan’s floor 😬 I picked some food up for Skye from Pets At Home and went to collect Skye for Tregurnog. This time we managed our walk around without getting rained on.

It was a mad rush at home to cook and eat dinner before I needed to leave. I got in the truck, put the key in the ignition when my phone rang. It was a query for a walk. I sorted that out and the booking was made. It seems we are still popular. I just arrived before my visitors and we had a wonderful afternoon. Just as they were leaving, Neil arrived. He took some alpaca mix down while I looked for alpaca drench in the barn. It wasn’t there so it must be down with the alpacas. I carried on walking down. Neil passed me on his way back up. “It’s not there. It must be in the barn.” It was. But I hadn’t seen it. We got Hennessey and Bramble in so they could have drench. It’s a boost of vitamins and minerals because they are both small. Then we needed to get the little boys in next.

We went into the boys field. As usual, Garth Vader came bouncing over to see me. The others followed. Neil caught Al Paccino and I drenched him. The big boys were at the top of the field but as soon as I started walking up, Leo saw me with the bucket. He sprinted down for more food. He had the drench and then some extra food. I have been concerned that there isn’t much grass in these fields. We had a look and decided tomorrow, Neil would put a bale of hay in there. We brought the ring feeder from the girls field and set it up. There is another feeder at Tregurnog. If it will fit, I’ll bring it up tomorrow for the big boys. By now the sun had gone down and it was dark and raining. Again. Time to finish for the day.
