There was a post on Tonyrefail Residents on Facebook about sheep noises. There were plenty of misconceptions and scaremongering. It’s weaning time. I explained this on there. As a direct result of this we ended up spending the morning separating one trailer full of ewe lambs. The ram lambs and wethers have also been marked.
The problem was that the first load in the pen tried to escape. Josh tried to intervene and an ewe ran straight at his left arm – the one in the support. Not good. I wasn’t at my best either, my lower back isn’t good after yesterday. The perfect day to sort sheep. Throw some arguing in, there’s always arguing. It was such a fun morning. Not. But we have made a start. Then to cap it all, we got the settlement offer about the truck. They don’t seem to be giving us the option of having it back to fix for ourselves. Josh went off in the mule for water, whilst muttering to himself about the truck. I fed the alpacas. I know it was late, because of the sheep but there was no need whatsoever for Popcorn to spit on me at point blank range.
I have to do all the driving at the moment because of Josh’s arm. I was a bit reluctant to try to tow the trailer up the slope but it did manage it. It’s not as powerful as ours. And with that, my headache came back. Bloody marvellous!
