New Jail

Josh’s wrist is so bad that he can’t drive. Shame. I got to drive the truck to Garth Hall. I left him to feed the alpacas while I poo picked in the mammys’ field. I reminded him to feed Hennessey. When I looked up next, he’d disappeared! He had sloped off up to the barn. He told me he was feeding Elsie. I told him to come back down and check if there were sheep jn Maria’s. He said he couldn’t see any. When I finished we left to meet Jordan. It was her day off so she came with us, and Skye of course, to Tregurnog.

After a morning of poo picking, I was starving so we had dinner from Scrumps. Just as Josh and Jordan collected it, we heard from Neil. He’d had a message that the sheep were back in Maria’s. I ate my fish a d chips as fast as I could because I had to collect the shopping from Tesco while the others had a leisurely dinner. I unpacked the fridge and freezer but left everything else until later.

At Garth Hall, Jordan and Josh went up to the Bedw Farmhouse and sent the ewes down the lane. I opened the gate but shut the paddock gates. We hoped to shut them in there while I got troop transport. With the ewes shut in, Jordan went home. Josh stayed to monitor the ewes and I went for troop transport. While I got troop transport lined up to the run, Josh came to help. We were gone minutes. But that was all it took. We went back for the ewes and they had disappeared. I was livid. My temper wasn’t good anyway as I’d been awake until first light, not able to sleep. I was tired so that meant I got cross very easily. We had a good look but they weren’t there. Then Josh spotted them on the lawn. I walked all the way round. It wasn’t them but the ewe that’s often on the lawn. Ha! At least we caught her. I drove the mule down and we left her in troop transport momentarily while we moved the mammys and cria into the main field. The ewe was then put in there. New Jail.

Josh went off then in the mule in search of the other two. I decided to finish the poo pick. I only had a little bit left. As I drove out another few ewes and lambs came into New Jail. The two speckle faced greedy ones that always annoy me and the other ones from yesterday. I struggled to open the poover it was so full. Then Josh reappeared. “They were in the paddock. I don’t know how we missed them!” Well?! He dropped the one off and went back for the next one. With both of them dropped off, he then did the water run. I was still shovelling shit. My back was in half but I now have 64 bags done. Almost time to go home. We needed to stop off in Aldi. My father was down to his last Weetabix (well the Aldi version) and all hell would break lose if he didn’t have that! I went into the house, waving the box. “Well done!” 🤞 there aren’t any more out. We’ve got to move the ones from jail into New Jail but that’s a job for tomorrow. I haven’t got any more work in me today.
