I had to wait for Josh to get ready because there was no point taking two vehicles. He dropped me at Garth Hall and I went to feed the alpacas. I put some water out but also needed more. I took the mule and blue barrel up. As I was driving towards the wellfield gate Elsie was coming full speed towards me calling at the top of her voice. I was desperate to get through the gate safely without running her over. But there was something wrong, something happening in my back pocket. I had to stop. Mule off, handbrake on and I got out. It was my phone. Josh ringing me. I got back in and Elsie jumped in after me. She was safe in there. It’s not going to be easy when she’s fully grown though 🤦♀️
I put out water where it was needed when Josh rang again. “The electrics on this truck aren’t compatible with the trailer. Hurry up!” What he thought I could do, I have no idea. All I would do would be to Google adaptors. I carried on walking up. “Bat Out Of Hell” blared out again. “We’ve found an adaptor in LDS” He wouldn’t even let me and Chloe get Subzero when he was in LDS. This time though, we could hitch up and we were off. Finally. We were late starting and he had me and Chloe until about 3.30.
We got them in OK, Skye barks, the sheep move. When they try to escape they soon stop when they see the dog. We still haven’t had the part from Ivor Williams for the trailer so we can’t use the upper deck. Good job too. This truck doesn’t seem to have the pulling power of our Ranger. I’ve been told by the garage that it will be written off so we will have to have the dent knocked out. We’ve already got a replacement light for the back. I haven’t heard from Admiral though so we’re still using the replacement truck. Pulling out from the lane onto the A4119 from Tregurnog isn’t easy in a car. The stretch of road is 30mph. You have to edge out a bit to see and no one seems to stick to the speed li it. It’s also uphill. So with a load in the trailer, you have to put it into 4wd. Josh did and the handbrake didn’t hold. 4wd in this is a dial to turn. It’s so much easier in our truck. With a gear leaver you know if you’ve put it in correctly. Josh got it in gear and managed to get onto the road but struggled to get it out of gear.
Me and Skye were dropped off at the house. Josh carried on with Chloe to drop the first load off. I made dinner for my father and rolls and drinks for Josh and Chloe. I met them at Garth Hall at about 3.40 and took Chloe home. Josh had to continue with the last load on his own. I got ready and went to see Lewis Capaldi with Jordan. We had a great time. I’m paying for it now though…
