It was a wet walk with Skye first thing. Not raining apparently but drizzle is rain. It annoys me that the weather apps don’t recognise drizzle. Drizzle is the best sort of rain for us as farmers. It soaks into the ground much better. The IBCs will top up and the grass will enjoy it too. The ducks will have the best time 🦆Anyway, after walking Skye, I left to open up. The ducks came out and started happily quacking and flapping. Rascal was wet and wanted to rub in my legs. I was not keen. I fed him and then let the Peckys out.
Back at home I spent the morning exhausting myself taking more trips upstairs with more things from my unit. Then I began shredding. After a bit was done, the shredder packed in. I ordered one from Argos and popped out for it so I could finish up. It was tiring but satisfying. After dinner I walked Skye then dropped my old phone at Jordan’s because hers wasn’t working. She took the SIM out to try it in hers and hers started working again 🤣
I had a walk in the afternoon. We had been on tenterhooks with the weather but it cleared up just in time. We had a lovely walk. I’m pretty sure the little girl enjoyed it. I closed up then and quite frankly came home shattered, hence the very short blog.
There had been a lot of drizzle but the brook still didn’t have any water which was really weird. I even managed to dry one load of washing on the line in the afternoon. There’s more rain tomorrow so hopefully the brook will start flowing again 🤞
