I had a lovely sleep which meant I woke up early. The weather was bad. My phone said it wasn’t raining, Josh’s forecast said it would stop by 9. When I went to the truck to get my waterproof jacket so I could walk Skye, I told Josh to postpone the walk until the afternoon. The rain was that bad. We went to Tregurnog and then came home for a bit of a meeting.
We’ve got two shows coming up in the next few months for the alpacas so we need to prepare. First thing is business cards. It took nearly all morning until 2 out of 3 of us agreed. We failed to get a unanimous decision. Still, we have sorted it and Josh has ordered them. I dread to think on us deciding a banner, flag etc…
It wasn’t raining after dinner but it certainly wasn’t brighter either. Out visitors were there before us again. This always makes me feel so guilty! Today’s visitors were two girls and their grandmother. The girls live on a farm and are horse riders. We could definitely tell they have experience with animals. We are on hand to help even those with no experience but it was nice to relax a bit. The boys behaved well and the girls came over to be hand-feed. The queue waiting to be hand-fed is growing daily and not all of them are patient queuers either!
As the afternoon wore on it got warmer and brighter. The girls fed Elsie and then they only had the tree swing left. They both had a go but the youngest spotted the tree in the wall garden and was off up it like a shot. I used to climb t when I was a lot younger – it’s been there a long time. It’s also a lot higher than it was over 40 years ago! And the day ended in glorious sunshine.

Hi Helen, never feel guilty about visitors being there before you as the girls was so excited to get to the farm to you. We all had an absolutely fabulous time and am so glad you could relax a bit with Ceinwen & Lowri. They are really good girls and love all types of animals. They couldn’t stop talking about the day and both Josh & yourself was amazing with them. We will definitely be back again. Thank you both and keep up the great work xxx
